Ettington Parish Council is seeking to co-opt two parish councillors to fill vacancies in the Ettington and Fulready Wards. The Council is keen for representation from Fulready and this vacancy will remain open until such time as a Fulready resident is co-opted.

Parish Councillors give a small amount of time to work on behalf of their local community and must meet certain criteria (age, residency etc) and full details are available at the link below or by contacting the Clerk). A wide range of training is available through Warwickshire Association of Local Councils and Councillors are encouraged to attend training.

The Parish Council is an independent local authority with powers, duties, responsibilities and funds. A part-time Clerk is employed by the Council to advise and support the council and undertake administrative processes. It is independent of Stratford District Council and Warwickshire County Council though maintains close working relationships with both Officers and Councillors of both.

If you would like to apply to become a Councillor please contact the Clerk or download the application information hereForms for cooption.

Completed paperwork should be submitted to the Clerk by 28 August 2020 (as per instructions on the application information). A decision regarding co-option will be made at the meeting scheduled for Wednesday 9 September 2020.

Feel free to contact the Clerk with queries or for an informal discussion (weekday morning are the best time to speak to her).
